Job Title(s): Program Specialist (I, II, III)
Reports to: OPERATIONS & COMPLIANCE DEPARTMENT
Position Summary:
Must be energetic and self-starting individual. Must have professional demeanor and appearance. Our program specialist will assist in the following areas: post-secondary education, education planning, career planning, tutoring and job readiness. Oversee onboarding processes of consumers with admission process. Must have thorough knowledge of our product and service offerings.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist consumer with post-secondary educational goals and training.
- Assist consumer with note taking, tutoring and in classroom support as needed.
- Assist consumer with schedule and maintenance of student school portals/systems.
- Provide consumer with 1:1 support in class and on campus as needed.
- Provide consumer with transportation to and from school.
- Assist consumer with career planning and job readiness skills.
- Assist consumer with on-the-job training and coaching.
- Provide consumer with additional coordinated family support services and resources.
- Plan and coordinate the development, implementation, and execution of sub-programs, special projects, and other initiatives designed to achieve the overall mission, goals, and objectives of the program.
- Oversees and administers all facets of the day-to-day operations of the various programs and activities related to the position.
- Serves as a liaison with internal and external constituencies on all matters relating to program activities; represents the organization with respect to program activities on a local, regional, and/or national basis.
- Plans, develops, and implements strategies for identifying and generating funding and/or resource opportunities for program activities, to include development of grant and other fundraising proposals.
- Program planning, development, implementation, and leadership skills.
- Advises on operating goals and objectives for the program; identifies opportunities to enhance program operations to achieve greater efficiencies and effectiveness and to fulfill program objectives outlined within the contract/grant.
- Address, respond and resolve company complaints from but not limited to consumers, guardian’s consumer family, third parties, regional center etc.
- Review, edit and approve SIR (Special Incident Reports.)
- Assist with onboarding and job development for consumers and new staff.
- Proofread and correct internal documents, marketing materials, presentations reports.
- Maintain compliance of logs, internal documents, and other forms/orders in office.
- Maintain and track expiration dates of consumer/internal documents and company documentation (certifications, licensing, permits etc.)
- Create marketing communications, social media post and newsletters as needed.
Qualifications:
Prior to hiring the leadership team/human resources will conduct the employment interview with prospective candidate. Applications will be completed, and prospective employees must complete the following procedure prior to starting work in the consumers. The Staff must also adhere to the following:
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. Must have strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Word, Power Point and Excel)
- Must be proficient in written and verbal communication.
- Attention to detail and data entry with minimal errors.
- Must be 18 years of age
- Health Screening Clearance with TB clearance results
- Fingerprint Clearance prior to hire
- Signed Criminal Record Statement
- Signed Dependent Adult Abuse Reporting Requirement
- References and verification of experience will be checked and cleared by Human Resources
- AA Degree and/or Equivalent experience
- Clean DMV record. (H-6 Print Out)
- Proof of Full Coverage Auto Insurance
- CPR Certification
- Bi-Lingual is a (plus)

Staff Experience
Creative Employment Services executive team and management staff has over 15 years of experience supporting and providing an array of social and developmental services to intellectually disabled adults. We are experienced in assisting individuals with developmental disabilities with obtaining and maintaining employment opportunities, securing housing, and developing independent living skills. Our dedicated team will assist with providing a pathway to competitive integrated employment with community involvement. Creative Employment Services has working knowledge of Title 17, 22, Consumer’s Rights and certification in First -Aid, CPI, DSP I and DSP II.
